Filming for my documentary ‘Journey to my roots’ was wonderful. This time I was in Den Haag. I went to the statue of the ‘Indische tantes’ (East Indies aunts), laid a sunflower and tulip in front of the Indies Monument and Remembrance center Sophiahof. Of course I also had dinner in a toko (Indonesian restaurant).

Many family members are on the passengerlists (of the boats that brought my family to the Netherlands in ’55) and in the passport application archive. With pictures. To my surprise, even my ancestors from the mid 19th century! Now I know what they looked like. Thanks Ben and Roy.
